I got back form my Long Study Tour on Sunday morning and I’ve basically been a walking zombie since then. It was worth it though because that trip was so worth it. I can’t wait to fill you guys in on it, but in the meantime, I’ve been riding the struggle bus, kind of literally, trying to get my sleep schedule back on track. The past two days I’ve had to sprint down the street to catch my bus. I almost missed it but luckily the bus driver saw me, felt some kind of sympathy for me, and waited an extra minute. This morning I was rushing again and my train I take after the bus left 1 minute early so I missed it. It was quite dramatic. I had 20 minutes to kill before the next train to København Central, so I decided to finally check out the cute French bakery in my train station called La Boutique Bagels. Even though I don’t really have the money to be buying breakfast to-go on a regular basis, I’m now a huge fan of this place. The owner is originally from France which oddly made me feel at home and the menu has a lot of non-Danish things like packages of Oreos (!?) and Provence delicacies. Also, the owner liked to shoot me random small winks in the middle of our conversation, so that was my morning entertainment.
Side Note: A woman on the platform asked me a question entirely in Danish and I understood all of it. She asked me if the next train would stop in Skodsborg, which I told her was the next stop. It was a proud moment for me and a proud moment for my Danish teacher!
